The Community Service Directory is designed for programs that need to facilitate connections between volunteers and local opportunities. This feature is currently available for Premium and Advanced users.

Enable Community Service Directory

To enable the service directory, site managers can go to Organizer Dashboard > Settings > More Settings > Other Configurations > scroll to the bottom of the page and select "Yes" for the setting "Enable Community Service Directory" > Click Save.

Request Volunteer Opportunities

To get started, site administrators can share a direct link with local organizations and ask them to submit relevant volunteer opportunities. Administrators can also post opportunities on behalf of others to get started.

When community organizations access the link, they can add details for their volunteer opportunity such as day/time, cause, location, description, and volunteer requirements.

Review Incoming Opportunities

Once an opportunity is submitted, site administrators will be notified to review the posting. Administrators can review opportunities individually to approve/deny them or select multiple opportunities and approve/deny in bulk.

View Approved Opportunities

Once opportunities are approved, they will be available for volunteers to view when they visit the Service Directory.

Volunteers can click Learn More to view the details of a specific opportunity, such as the location, organization details, and volunteer requirements. If the volunteer is interested, they can use the contact button to send a message to the organization.

On the next screen, volunteers can preview a default message and make any necessary edits before sending the email.

The designated contact person for the opportunity will be notified and can follow up with the volunteer to provide more information and next steps for getting started.
