In addition to emails, organizations can send reminders and announcements to volunteers via SMS Text Messaging! There are currently 4 messages compatible with the texting feature. 

Site Messages

Administrators can send general reminders and announcements to volunteers by using the Send Message action. When texting is enabled, administrators can choose to send an email, a text, or both! 

Event Invitations

Administrators can promote upcoming opportunities by using the invite function for an event. In addition to sending an email, administrators can notify volunteers via text. The message will include a direct link to the event to streamline the sign up process. 

Event Messages

Once volunteers have RSVP'ed, administrators can use the Contact Attendees function to send any reminders or notifications for the event. Administrators can utilize the text option for shorter messages and last minute changes. 

Event Reminders

When organizers create new events on Track It Forward, they can customize their preference for automated notifications. If enabled, volunteers can choose to receive reminders via text 2 days before any scheduled event.
